In mid-July, Committeepeople gathered to endorse candidates for key Illinois State and Cook County positions. From Governor, Secretary of State, Comptroller to Cook County President, Treasurer, Assessor, to Metropolitan Water Reclamation District. We also endorsed Cook County Circuit Court judges.

1st Ward Dems slating committee interviewed each candidate and hosted a candidate forum before the slating session. Our slating committee members endorsed many of the candidates listed below.

To ensure that residents have an opportunity to learn and ask questions, the 1st Ward Dems will continue to invite these candidates to forums, community meetings. We want an informed and engaged 1st Ward.
